All juniors, and any sophomore interested in preparing for the NMSQT* their junior year.
How do I sign up?
Sign up before October 14th by bringing $17 to Taylor. Checks payable to TSAS.
When will it be given?
Students will take the exam Wednesday, October 19th in the Commons at TSAS.
What are the benefits?
*For juniors, the PSAT is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship competition. Many universities offer National Merit finalists full tuition plus a stipend.
Please note that there are a number of corporate scholarships for children of employees. Check the Student Guide for explanation and a list of participating businesses.
All students who take the PSAT may, based on their score, be exempted from taking end of instruction tests in the subject(s) they qualify for. These are: Algebra II, Geometry, and English III.

How do I prepare?
Exhaustive study is not recommended for this test, but there are many resources available at PSAT.org (including a full-length practice test) and Khan Academy.
