The following courses include an end of instruction test at… the end of instruction. All students taking the class will sit for the test, unless they have previously earned a satisfactory score on the PSAT.
Algebra Ib
Algebra IIa
English IIab
Biology
US History (usually 11th grade)
Geometrya
aStudents who receive a satisfactory score on the PSAT (taken any year) are exempt from taking these EOI tests.
bA passing score on these tests are required for graduation. Students must also pass at least two other tests.
A pamphlet will be provided before each test for parents and students to review. It includes sample questions and an overview of skills to be tested. TSAS does not recommend studying for these tests; a student doing well in the class will be successful on the examination; students struggling should seek help from his or her teacher or an older student in his or her advisory group.
