Mrs. Carpenter is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Drone Aviation Holding Corp. (DRNE), formerly MacroSolve, Inc., with offices in Jacksonville, FL, Miami, FL and Tulsa, OK. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Oklahoma State University and is a Certified Public Accountant, Certificated Management Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Mrs. Carpenter has been a member of Tulsa Oratorio Chorus since 2001 and is also a member of their Chamber Singers. Mrs. Carpenter volunteered three years as a College and Career Readiness Coach with Tulsa Public Schools prior to joining the TSAS Board of Trustees. She was awarded the Council Oaks Award in 2001 by the Tulsa Parks and Recreation Department for her leadership role with the Clark Theater Program.
Thomas King (retired) was a Senior IT/Computing Technical Specialist with Phillips Petroleum Company. Tom has 44 years experience in all aspects of Information Technology and Computing. He has a B.S. in Applied Mathematics & Engineering (1976) from the University of Tulsa and numerous certifications in various programming languages, operating systems, and major software applications. Tom grew up in the TSAS neighborhood and attended Roosevelt Jr. High, now the home of TSAS. His current interests and hobbies include community service, computer technology, photography, genealogy, and travel (36 countries visited so far). Tom is a Gilcrease Museum Council member, attends seminars and educational events at the Helmerich Center for American Research at Gilcrease, attends presentations of the OU Center for Studies in Democracy and Culture, member of Tulsa Alumni Association, served on the Tulsa Alumni Association Board for 2 years, chaired the Tulsa Alumni Association Athletics Committee for 3 years, is an active supporter of the University of Tulsa College of Engineering and Natural Sciences (particularly the Math Circles STEM program), and is an active member of the Athletic Director’s Circle of the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Club. Tom and his wife Judy have been married for 54 years and have one son.
Professional Experience
Natalie O’Reilly is the Research Associate and Assessment Coordinator for University of Oklahoma’s School of Social Work. She has also served as a Faculty Liaison within the School for field education students. Natalie’s primary research interests involve intergenerational poverty, healthcare outcomes and disparities, and education. Natalie graduated from Edison High School before moving to Ft. Collins, Colorado. She graduated with her BSW from Colorado State University, and from the University of Oklahoma with her MSW. While Natalie’s background is firmly rooted in social work, her love of research methodology and assessment led her to become certified in Qualtrics (statistical survey software). Natalie is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and sits on the academic advisement board of Qualtrics. Natalie has two kids, Sophie and Felix, who are enrolled at TSAS. She has been married for almost 20 years to Stephen Egerton, who is a punk rock guitarist with really bad tattoos.
Dr. Payne became a doctor of education at Oklahoma State University in 2000, and has been a fixture in education and social justice in northeastern Oklahoma for several decades. Dr. Payne worked as a long-time professor in the College of Education at Northeastern State University and in multiple leadership positions with the Greenwood Cultural Center as well as the Executive Director of the John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation. Dr. Payne now serves on many nonprofit boards across Tulsa and is a passionate volunteer for multiple organizations.
Joseph Svetlic is currently Underwriting Counsel for First American Title Co. in Tulsa. He also currently serves as the Staff Judge Advocate for the 90th Troop Command in the Oklahoma Army National Guard (OKARNG). Mr. Svetlic was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002 and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa Sturm College of Law in 2005, writing for the Energy Law Journal. Following law school, he began his career as a real estate attorney, primarily focused on title insurance for real estate transactions. He is a product of public schools in Kansas City.
Mr. Svetlic deployed to Ukraine in 2017 as the Command Judge Advocate, where his practice included Military Justice, Administrative Law, Fiscal Law, Claims, International & Operational Law, and Legal Assistance. He had the distinct pleasure of directly training battalion-size Ukrainian units as to operational and domestic law.
Mr. Svetlic celebrated his 11th Anniversary with his wife Beth in December 2018. He has three children: Luke, 8; Liz, 6; and Jake, 3. He makes his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and enjoys coaching his son’s baseball teams, doing horticulture on his yard, snow skiing in Colorado, and the KC Royals and Chiefs.
Mr. Wortham started his TSAS Board of Trustees tenure during the summer of 2020. He is a member of the management staff of Tulsa Technology Centers as well as the music and arts community of Tulsa. More information about Mr. Wortham is coming soon.
