Cricket Moore joined the TSAS Board of Trustees in 2024 as a Parent Representative and is a graduate of Bartlesville High School. Cricket currently works at CAP Tulsa as the Benefits Coordinator where she is focused on measuring and administering their benefits program, supporting and administering their leaves of absences, and supporting and administering staff well-being initiatives by responding to the needs of employees for physical, mental, and emotional health supports through enhanced services and benefits. Prior to her role at CAP Tulsa, she was the HR Coordinator for Sulzer Chemtech supporting their US operations with administering initiatives of the Human Resources department.
Cricket holds an Associate Degree in Business with a Human Resources specialization from Tulsa Community College. She is a Certified Human Resources Professional holding a SHRM-CP credential, an Alumni member of the National Society for Leadership and Success, and a lifetime member of Girl Scouts USA. Cricket is an active member of the Tulsa Area Human Resources Association where she recently served on the 2023 Return On Inclusion committee. She is a new member of the Tulsa Area United Way’s NextGen United and Women United affinity groups. Cricket is passionate about people, education, her community, and all facets of the human resources profession. Her Mother was a teacher for over 40 years and Her daughter who is now an 8th grader, has attended TSAS since 6th grade. In her free time, Cricket enjoys all things outdoors, spending time with her friends and family, serving her community, and traveling.
Dr. Emily Mortimer is the Vice President of Ecosystems for the Tulsa Regional Stem Alliance (TRSA) where she has served since 2018. She is also an adjunct instructor at Oklahoma State University and serves on the board of directors for The Sustainability Alliance. Prior to her work at TRSA, she was in charge of educational programming at the Tulsa Zoo.
Dr. Mortimer is also a scholar of educational research holding a PhD in Curriculum Studies from OSU and is published in various journals on topics related to STEM pedagogy. In addition to her professional and scholarly pursuits, Dr. Mortimer is a dedicated volunteer and community partner to many nonprofit and educational organizations such as the American Zoo and Aquarium Association, the Golden Key National Honor Society, the National Association of Interpreters, the National Education Association, the National Science Teachers Association, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Angela Vivar Romero is the daughter of Mexican immigrants from Orizaba, Veracruz. She is an educator, business owner, and travels the country (via Zoom now because of COVID) teaching first generation youth how to go to college, stay in college, and graduate. Angela worked in high schools and at Oklahoma State University coordinating the RISE Program and overseeing Hispanic/Latino Affairs. As she became a subject matter expert in university first year retention, Ms. Vivar developed a campus wide scholarship program and initiatives for first year and first generation students OSU. Soon after, Angela took a leap of faith and started her own education consulting and workshop facilitation business.
Angela currently goes to daily Mass, serves as the only Mexican American woman on her local United Way Board, is a former Miss Oklahoma Latina, Miss Hispanic OSU, two-time president of the Hispanic Student Association, an Emerging Leader Under 40, a Oklahoma NextGen award winner in Education, and was awarded the Golden Torch award at Oklahoma State University. She joyfully served the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization, UnidosUS, for six years. Angela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and Spanish from Oklahoma Sate University and a Masters in Education in School Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. Her fondest memory is gliding through the kitchen as a child, pretending to be an ice-skating Olympic champion as her mom applauded her “triple axles.”
Mr. Wortham started his TSAS Board of Trustees tenure during the summer of 2020. He is a member of the career advisory management staff of Tulsa Technology Centers, and previously worked as an Adolescent Health Specialist for Youth Services of Tulsa.
Mr. Wortham is a passionate musician and social advocate, and is a long-standing member of the music and arts community of Tulsa.
In his spare time he enjoys making and performing music and spending time with his family.
