What is TSAS?
TSAS is a highly innovative, relational charter school that serves students grades 6-12. We were founded in 2001 as the first charter school for secondary students in Tulsa. TSAS is a public charter school with no entrance requirements or tuition necessary for acceptance. Applicants who live in the current Tulsa Public Schools district at the time of enrollment will be given spots in the lottery first, and out-of-district applicants will go in after them. Valid proof of address is required at this stage, but is not needed at the time the application is filled out.
Who is TSAS?
Admission to TSAS
Each year, TSAS admits 75 6th graders and a smaller amount in grades 7-12 based on attrition. If we get more than the allotted number of applications for a grade, we hold a random lottery. TSAS has had enough applicants to constitute a lottery every year of our existence. The only students given preference in the lottery are siblings of current TSAS students. Applicants who don’t get an immediate spot via the lottery will go on the waiting list for each grade.
Shadowing and Tours
Due to COVID-19, we will not be offering 1:1 shadowing this year, but will be offering extended small group tours and Q and A sessions, virtual open houses, live Q and A events, and in-person application assistance. Tours will begin in November of 2021. Sign ups are available at this link.
