h3. Dear TSAS Senior families,

The TSAS faculty and staff would like to be the first to congratulate the Class of ’09 as you enter your Senior Year! We sincerely hope that it will be an exciting and fulfilling time. Many activities are planned or will be proposed during the course of this year. To prepare your family for this exciting year, please plan to attend a meeting for Seniors and parents on Tuesday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the North Commons of TSAS. This check list of events and expenses will help you see what lies ahead.

h3. Senior Checklist

Senior Check List 2009 .doc

Since TSAS opened, families of Seniors have covered the expenses of graduation. Therefore, we request that each Senior’s family donate $75.00 to cover the expenses of graduation. We request that each family bring all or a portion of the $75.00 to the September 23rd meeting. The money covers caps and gowns, the diplomas and covers, the rental of the PACE, the speaker’s gift, graduation music, graduation photos, class photos, and other important Senior graduation expenses. Please remember that each Senior must have a cap and gown to walk at graduation.

h3. Useful Senior Information:

* Seniors will schedule three types of meetings during the school year. 1. Senior Class Meeting: these meetings are of the utmost importance and include visits by Jostens representatives to fit and order caps and gowns. 2. Senior Class officer meetings: these meetings are scheduled to create agendas for Senior Board Meetings. 3. Senior Board Meetings: these lunch meetings are for all Seniors who want to be a part of the planning.
* We are so fortunate that the PACE is willing to host our graduation because two years ago we had an unfortunate and expensive incident involving Silly String. To maintain our relationship with the PACE, we must be exceedingly careful and respectful. As a sign of respect for the PACE and our graduating Seniors and their families, we also must maintain a greater degree of decorum at the PACE. Last year families thanked us for the respect shown the graduates and their families—families and guests could hear what was said about their special Senior! This year, once again, we respectfully request that NO air horns or similar noisemakers be used during the ceremony. Our graduation ceremony is now rich in tradition; we would prefer that the PACE ushers do not have to ask our patrons to leave. We want every family to enjoy this joyous event.
* All PACE guests at all events, except children sitting on laps, must have tickets. Ushers will hand out tickets at the PACE door before graduation. This system works well for us, as we have never filled the 1500 seats at the PACE.
* Senior Parents: On the night of graduation, the doors to the PACE will open at 7:00. The PACE staff must finish sound checks before the doors open. Please do not ask them to accommodate you with an early entry. As soon as the doors open, families and guests will be seated.
