h2. “SUPPORT OUR SCHOOL”

Dear T.S.A.S. Parent,
*Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences needs your help immediately!*

On July 26, 2006, the State of Oklahoma cut funding to T.S.A.S. by $136,000. In addition, the funding we do receive from the State of Oklahoma on a per capita basis will also be less the additional 5% withheld by Tulsa Public Schools (TPS). *T.S.A.S. must be able to meet this funding shortfall before the end of the first trimester to meet our operating budget; or we will be required to reduce services, staff, and discontinue some classes.*

In the last two years, Tulsa School of Arts and Science’s ACT test scores and AYP (Average Yearly Progress) index have been higher than any other high school in the Tulsa area. Excellence comes at a cost. Just as students need the strong support of their parents
and teachers in order to reach their potential, *TSAS needs support*, too.

For Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences to continue to teach our children with the highest degree of excellence in education, we need each parent to join us by *contributing today* the amount of $500.00 per student enrolled at T.S.A.S. This amount equates to $62.50 a month (Oct. to May) and can be paid on a monthly basis.

h3. Join with us and be a part of Operation S.O.S – “Support Our School”

Please send your donations to Tulsa School of Arts & Sciences today.

Sincerely,

Merl A. Whitebook
President, TSAS Board of Trustees
